Clinically Relevant Outcomes with Use

In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled human study, the tested NADEssence™ formulation demonstrated a mean increase of 53% in intracellular NAD+ following the tested protocol. Although the study focused on intracellular increases in NAD+, exploratory analyses identified a 32% mean increase in SIRT1 activity under the defined study conditions. There were 52 predefined clinical lab tests with 3,000 proteins and 1,500 metabolites observed. The tested NADEssence™ formulation was generally well tolerated during the study period, with no serious product-related adverse events reported.

Exploratory Results: Liver, Kidney & Oxidative Stress

Exploratory analyses identified between-group differences in selected biomarkers commonly included in liver- and kidney-related laboratory panels. Compared with placebo, NADEssence™ supplementation was associated with reductions in bilirubin, ALP, serum albumin, and GGT. Because GGT is also used as a marker of oxidative stress, its reduction may suggest lower oxidative stress under the study conditions. The clinical significance of these exploratory findings has not been established.
